Encore Payment Systems Company deceptive in contract dealings.... we signed one stating no annual fee.. they have another stating we signed with annual fee Addison Texas

When we signed up with Encore, one of our strictest requirements of a credit card company was NOT to have to pay an annual fee, as they get so much already. We have a carbon copy of the contract we signed where the rep crossed out the annual fee. A year went by and lo and behold, they charged us an annual fee. When we called them, they stated we signed the contract for an annual fee of $95.00, which we did not. We told them we would fax the copy to them, which their fax did not work, so we mailed them a copy, plus a letter demanding the $95.00 be put back in our checking account. They didn't respond. I called again... was told the rep that signed us up was on her way into their company and that she had car trouble and would call me that afternoon. She didn't. We have later learned that she no longer works there and didn't when they told me she did. We cancelled with them and went with another company WITH NO ANNUAL FEE... and NOW they deducted 202. from our checking account for cancelling the contract. They faxed us their copy of what they say we signed and if you look at it close and compare it to our carbon copy.... it's not the same, so they "rigged" a new first page, which has the annual fee on it and or course itn's not crossed out on their copy. I told them I would take it to a lawyer and sue them .... they said go ahead. They are so cocky and alll... I will follow through with my threat. If anyone else has had this happen to them or if any of you who worked for Encore, will get in touch with me....
