I have been using the normal channels to try and remove fraulent charges and PAYMENTS from my GE Money Bank Account. I send a letter after I receive each statement recounting the errors, this has been going on for 4 months!!! I send everything certified return receipt, I have followed all the rules to report the billing discrepencies, and they are way past the 90 day resolution period. I did get confirmation from the company on two of the letters, but not the first ones I sent. However I do have the certified return reciepts on each letter. I'm not sure what else I can do except to file complaints at this point, phone calls have been useless. I am current with my payments, I have also closed my account so that no further purchases can be applied. They are adding interest charges that I am not responsible for, I hope to have this paid off in the next few weeks so I am anxious to get this resolved.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Ask for Fraud

AUTHOR: X - Oakland (U.S.A.)

This may or may not work, ask for the fraud phone number. I wouldn't waste your breath talking to a customer service rep again. Fraud reps have generally been around for a number of years, they get paid more, they are just more competant than customer service reps. All of the call centers are constantly hiring because customer service reps are constantly quittng, so there is not much experience. Hopefully they can get that resolved rather quickly for you, good luck.

#2 Update By Author

8-25-2007 Update

AUTHOR: Cindy - Chandler (U.S.A.)

After also filing a complaint with the BBB, the company has revsered some of the interest charges, however not all of them as the original problem has not been fixed. The company did respond to the BBB and I received a little more information, via the complaint process however they are still not responding to me directly.
