Merrick Bank Stay Away from this card Hickesville New York

I wish I would have listened to all of the reports about this company. I received an offer from them to open a new card. I looked online to make sure it wasn't a scam and thought I would give it a shot. I sent out my first bill over 1 week ahead of time. The bank has claimed my check was presented yesterday but they are showing "no record" of it. I asked to speak to the customer service supervisor but was sent to hold and left there forever. I called back to talk to someone else and was told that since I was late (even though my bank is saying the check was presented for payment yesterday) they were going to charge me all of the fees and set my directly to the default APR. I pay everything ahead of time and thought a week was plenty of time. I will be paying this card off and not using it any more. I urge everyone thinking about opening a card with them to think twice.
