I withdrew funds from my Patrasys.com account on the 12th January 2009. It is now the 25th (nearly the 26th) January and the funds have not reached my bank account.

I know for a fact that my bank account details are correct as they had no problem taking the 'verification fee' money from my account.

Now, in response to Patrasys' earlier answer to a complaint filed, HOW can we contact you to discuss this when you blatantly ignore all emails and phonecalls?

I have in total sent around 6 emails to Patrasys. I got one reply on the 21st January saying that the issue was being looked into. I have since emailed again and got no reply. I have on numurous occasions telephoned them but the phone just rings and rings forever, no matter what time of the day I ring. I have left voice messages but not received a single reply. The company appears to have vanished.

The customer service is atrocious. This is no way to run a business. A simple email or ANYTHING would be suffice.

A few people I have spoken to are also experiencing the exact same problems.

A fortnight and no money.

If this is not resolved I will be forced to take legal action.

Patrasys Response: This report is malicious and incorrect. Please disregard.

AUTHOR: Patrasys Legal Team - London (United Kingdom)

FAO: All prospective users of the Patrasys Payment System

For anyone reading this report, please take the time to read and understand that Patrasys WILL NEVER take funds from any supplier / merchant as it is not possible to do so and we have been trading in the payment industry for over 3 years without incident, and please do take notice that there is no proof to validate any of these claims. The author of all these reports is the same person / entity and we are in the middle of a investigation to ascertain who it is.

Payments to New Merchants who sign up for Patrasys

For all new customers who include sole traders and ebay merchants who sign up for our services, the Patrasys Accounts department does not make any payments to anyone who has not delivered the goods or services to the buyers / card holders. This excludes established companies and Accounts over 3 months old. The reason for this is that we need to verify that the merchant is a genuine card holder first, before we can proceed to release trheir funds. Once it is confirmed that the merchant is genuine, we then proceed to release the funds and they do not have to go through the vetting procedure for future sales unless a concern is raised by any of the buyers.

How fraud is carried out by a merchant

A merchant who intends to defraud card holders will offer you goods at a bargain price and ask you to make payment through Patrasys or any other payment proessor like Paypal / Nochex. They will give a reasonable excuse as to why they are unable to deliver the goods within 7 days, and ask you to be patient. In the mean time, the fraudulent merchant will withdraw the funds from their Merchant Account and cease all contact with the buyers as soon as the funds are deposited into their bank account. The genuine card holder (in this case which is you) will then contact their bank and request a chargeback / refund of which Patrasys would have to repay the order amount, as we are the legal owners of the processing platform on which the merchant made the payment. Hence all new merchant are told to prove that they are genuine traders by delivering atleast 25% of their orders or else we are forced to refund all payments and close the fraudulent merchant account down as we have seen this happen to many unsuspecting card holders over and over again. Hence a disgrunteled merchant who intended to defraud Patrasys and the card holder, will then realise that they are unable to withdraw these funds, and will try and open another account with Patrasys under a different name.

Why it is not possible for Patrasys to take card holders or merchants funds

When a transaction is completed on the Patrasys platform, the card holder and the merchant will both receive an email advising them of the payment and what to do in the event that they need any support with it. ALL these payments are protected by the credit companies which means that even if say for arguements sake Patrasys was not to respond to any card holders request, all they have to do as a merchant is to refund the payment on their Patrasys account control panel which is always available 24 hours a day. If the card holder is unhappy abouyt the way the sale has gone, they can contact their card issuer and advise them that the order was not completed to thier satisfaction and the bank will refund the payment. Hednce there is NO way in which Patrasys can take any funds from the card holder or the merchant as fraudulently claimed in this report.

What is Patrasys Buyer Protection?

Patrasys offers all buyers who pay for their goods and services using the Patrasys system a guarantee that in the event that they have any problem with their order like non delivery or damaged goods, they will be entitled to a full refund.

How does Patrasys implement this buyer protection scheme?

Every new merchant using the Patrasys system is advised to ship out their goods to the card holder first, before they can receive the payments. Once the card holders have received their goods, we advise the merchant to enter the tracking number onto the Patrasys System so as to release their funds. We then randomly select a few buyers and inquire if the goods have been delivered. If the goods have been delivered, we then class the merchant as safe. If no goods are delivered after 7 - 10 working days, we class the merchant as unsafe and advise the clients of this.

Imporntant advice to all merchant not present transactions

It is very imporntant that you make payment only via a credit card if you are buying goods over the internet. DO NOT make payment via a debit card like Delta, Switch, Maestro or electron as the rules that govern these cards are different to the rules set for credit card transactions. When you pay via credit card, the money that you may lose is always reimbursed as the banks are governed by the policies set up by the government to protect credit card holders.

DO NOT pay cash into a bank account unless you trust the company, as you will never get your money back from a merchant in the event that anything went wrong with the transaction.

Always pay via a third party card processor like Paypal, Patrasys or Nochex as we can resolve / refund your payment in the event that you have any problem with the order. Our Patrasys buyer protection scheme covers your purchase for up to 6 months from when the payment is made.

In this instance, we are confident that you may not get any goods delivered in the event that you purchase these goods outside of a guaranteed arrangement with a card processor.

Please do contact Patrasys in the event that you have any further questions.

yours sincerely

AUTHOR: Frank Butcher - London (USA)

Patrasys does not have a legal team, which must appear obvious to anyone with a reasonable command of the english language. Just 1 guy using a million different aliases.
