Merchants, please be aware of a sales representative by the name of John Maciejko who works for Pivotal Payments in the Edmonton area and rural areas. He used to work for an ATM company by the name of Direct Cash and was released due to fraudulant activity.
I have spoke with many merchants in my area and it would seem that he preys on merchants in small towns usually within 2 hours of Edmonton.
He got me real good on a 5 year lease for a debit terminal. What I didn't realize is this was a non cancellable 5 year lease. He assured me there was no commitment and that I could cancel at any time.
In addition, he quoted me $36.00 per month on the lease and the payment is actually $53.00. He also told me my rates would be 1.59% and I am actually being charged 1.85%. The rates atc he quoted me are all on the contract but I am being charged something totally different. Pivotal Payments is not willing to help. It's obvious the rates were changed after I signed the paperwork.
The only out of this mess is a $2500 penalty or they will take me to a collection agency. I seeked advice from my lawyer and he advised me to just pay the $2500 and move on.
