I am a business owner. I use a credit card machine and one bank came to me, Piviotal Payment, and asked me to try their services. The agent came here and we talked about charges and fees. I didn't know if I wanted to try this bank so a asked a lot of questions. One particular question "Was there a cancellation fee?". Brian told me there was no fee to try their service, if I didn't like it just cancel at anytime. After about a month with their service came a problem, they withheld my money charged on the machine from me for two weeks. Like I stated I am a new business owner and two weeks of no credit card money when these days everyone uses credit cards was very hard for me. So I cancelled the service, this was about 2 months ago. Now they charged my bank account $2610.00 for a cancellation fee. It says no where on my contract this amount of money, in fact it doesn't say cancellation fee anywhere on my contract and their web site specifically says "no cancellation fee". The agent who helped me told me he has never heard of that amount of money being charged before. I am very upset about it and want my money back and Piviotal Payment told me if I want my money back I can come back to their services and then I can get it all back. I am wondering if you can help me with this situation? I feel like this is their racket against small business owners. Please

First, we'd like to apologize for any problems you have encountered and would like to resolve them as quickly as possible. We have different levels of service that required different commitments from our customers, as our merchants have different expectations from us.

Sometimes cancellation fees apply to term commitments, as that allows us to reduce costs for all our merchants. Our goal is to reduce payment processing rates, so small to medium sized businesses can easily accept card payments with minimal fees.
