Wells Fargo Financial I got my card when my credit wasn't great, and now they will not lower my interst rate once it was repaird. They say there are no promotions right now? Are there ever? Contact the attorney general Theives and Dictators Des Moines Iowa

I would just like to say that Wells Fargo is by far the most corrupt bank I have ever seen. We wonder why the banks are in such termoil??? Let me tell you....They don't work with their customers. 

I got a credit card 5 years ago when I needed to repair my credit, so I took what I could get.  Now that my credit is repaired and higher than average, I can't get them to lower it. 

Every time I call they state that there is no promotional products available at this time.  I have called numerous times over the past 2 years, and guess what???? NO products available.....

I am starting to think that these promotional products are like unicorns.....we hear about them but has anyone really ever seen them? 

I am going to go to the Attorney General and or Congressman and just let them know what is going on here.  This has to be stopped.  I am in the mortgage industry and am giving 2% modifications away like candy, and I can't get my interest rate on this card lower than 21.00%???? Seriously?  What is wrong with this picture.

I call the call center and speak with Angelina at X-4093 and she states that she is sorry, but there are no other managers available to speak with.  She is the highest, I asked for her manager and she stated that everyone else has the same authority that she does.

No one has power to make decisions??? No one on the phone can help me??? I need to mail stuff in??? Like other hard working Americans I don't ever have time to sit down and write a letter, get a stamp, go to the mailbox.  I have to work to put food on the table for my family.

However, with these interest rates I don't know how much longer I will be able to keep the roof over our head because Wells Fargo doesn't have any promotional items available at this time.

So go to your state representatives, do what you need to do.  Together we can get them to at least work with us.  Alone we will pay the interest rates because we have to.

IT'S REALLY QUITE EASY TO SEE WHAT IS...

HAPPENING.

The banks are obviously in the same situation as GM was in a few years ago. GM had a division called 'GM Credit Card Services', right? And they raised interest rates on their customers back in 2007, correct?

'Google' this- RIP OFF REPORT GM CREDIT CARD SERVICES, and read how Betty's interest rate went from 10.99% to 32.44%, and she held a 716 credit score! 

*Look at the '1st Update' to Betty's Rip Off Report that was posted on 9-3-2007. The 3rd paragraph was a PREDICTION that actually CAME TRUE, correct? Here's how it starts: QUOTE: "The Collapse of the U.S. economy is in its infancy. Get all of your money out of the stock market and cash in your retirement NOW!" - 9/3/2007. (That was posted when the Dow Jones was around 14,000).

IT CAME TRUE, DIDN'T IT?

Isn't it interesting that GM went BANKRUPT not too long after their Credit Card Services division RAISED INTEREST RATES on their customers? If GM did it (raised credit card interest rates) , and the large Publicly Held banks are doing it, isn't it safe to assume that these banks are in DEEP, DEEP, DEEP, financial trouble too? They raised credit card interest rates at a time when the FED has LOWERED the rate to nearly 0%, correct? They SHOULD be lowering interest rates for their customers, shouldn't they?!

I believe that these banks need to generate as much PORFIT as possible in order to avert a complete COLLAPSE, and RAISING INTEREST RATES on their credit card holders is one way to do it, wouldn't you NOW agree? It's also a way for these banks to pay back the 'TARP' money that they received from the government which was TAXPAYER'S money, right?

Some banks are even attempting to PROFIT on their own employees' DEATHS by taking out 'SECRET LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES', without their knowledge or consent, & then collecting the benefits when these people DIE, right?

'Google' this- WELLS FARGO COMPLAINTS SECRET LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES, and read that article!

Then 'Google' this- BANK OF AMERICA COMPLAINTS SECRET LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES, and read that article too!

They don't owe you a lower rate

Are you really writing a report about this? If you credit is above average then you should have no problem transferring your balance to another credit card with lower interest. Your state representatives will laugh at you if you attempt to file a complaint about this.  They don’t owe you a lower rate – if you don’t like it switch.

Maybe your credit was not "repaired".

At first I thought this post was a joke. First of all, credit card companies have been raising rates for awhile. Even for their best customers. To expect (or demand) a rate reduction in this climate is kind of silly.

 If the OP has such stellar credit now, it should be no problem to obtain a credit card from another bank and transfer the balance. I got one a couple of months ago with a 13.2% rate with 2.99% for a year on any balance transfers. I suspect that the OP has a higher opinion of his "repaired" credit than any of the banks do.
