I received an offer for a preapproved Platinum credit card with a $10,000 credit limit and sent a check by mail for $37.00 on April 12,2005. Decided to check online today and here I am filing a fraud report. I have contacted my bank and put a stop payment on this check they have charged me a $30.00 fee for stop payment.

There are no address or phone numbers on the half of the page I have as I received this via us postal service and evidently the mailing address was only on the bottom half of the page that I returned to them. So I don't even remember where I mailed this to.

The only phone number (1-888-567-8688)on here is in fine print on the bottom of my half page and it is for a mailing list to add or remove your name. I didn't remove my name because I didn't want to have to give them any more info on the phone. This was a recorded message with no live person to speak with. Should I call this number and remove my name?
