My wife received a credit card statement showing a charge of $7.95 for the last two months to CWI CallWave. I did as many others did, and browsed the net to find this company. I found the numerous reports on this site and decided to make a post. I called the number on her bill (1-888-777-2807) which got me through to a man who barely spoke English. I asked if the company was based in California, he told me it was based in INDIA. I was rather rude to him then hung up. I did, however, want everyone to know that the above phone number (and pressing 2 at the prompt) will get you to a human. Good Luck.
