Encore Payment Systems If 4 people call you a donkey buy a saddle Dallas Texas

This is my experience with Encore Payment Systems, after only a few days....and I'm through...
During the recruitment interview, I was told a number of things that did not prove true.
1. All appointments are confirmed the day before, and are with 50 percent owners who have decision making authority.
My first appointment was with someone who sold the business 10 months ago, and hasn't been there since.
2. Appointments are set in concentric circles/grids around your home, starting at 5 mile radius.
My second appointment was set for 22 miles from my home, even though I am in one of the most densely populated and prosperous areas of the United States.
3. On-going training..... I burned through nearly 20 cell-minutes this morning waiting for a training conference call that never happened.
On further due diligence (which I admit I should have done prior to accepting the position) I found myriad reports of deceptive hiring practices, business practices, and pricing. Also, obvious shill rebuttals from people enjoying the benefits (?) of said practices.
I contacted the company with these complaints, and was then contacted by my Team Leader, who tried to talk through all the points I've made here. Then his boss inserted himself into the call, and would not let me make one point without a rapid-fire rebuttal, with many interruptions. I was allowed to voice a five second complaint, and he droned on and on for five minutes or more before taking a breath. If this is the manner they address their employee grievances (founded or otherwise) I can only imagine their response to customers with legitimate gripes/issues. Remember, folks, it never gets any better than the honeymoon, and if this is the manner in which they interact with people after a few short days with the company, it certainly doesn't bode well for any future relationship.
First time you're a victim, the second time you're a volunteer. I'm done. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is......good advice I should have taken.
I anticipate the inevitable replies of "he should have stuck with it" "nothing is perfect" "obviously not cut out for this" "I'm making money, he obviously sucks" etc. I've been nearly a decade in automotive sales, and have been very successful selling in an ethical and honest manner. Go sell your little card swipers for astronomical prices, and sleep well. Caveat Emptor.

This situation can only go downhill. These clowns may be out of business soon. Bad or abusive behavior causes bad reputations just as quickly as a failure to perform, and bad reputations usually spread quickly.
Which implies the "owners" are not bright enough to see the long green?

As an Employee with Encore Payment Systems I want to tell you that Encore has bent backwards in helping me make a career with them. I will agree that the generated telemarketing leads were not very good. However, I decided to do straight cold calling and have had a great experience with them. They flew me down to their headquarters in Addison Texas and treated me first class. I have nothing but good things to say about the company.
I am surprised you are complaining about traveling 22 miles. I live in rural upstate NY and will often travel 40 -50 miles one way to spend the day doing appointments there.
If you had held on I am sure they would have helped you do whatever was needed to make it with them.
You will never find a job that is %100 perfect but if you had perservered a little I think you would have been much better off.
