Innovative Merchants Do Not Use This Company!! Calabasas California

I run a small construction company in Hoboken, NJ with about 2 million dollars in annual sales. For our smaller clients (homeowners) I though it would be covenient for them to offer on-line bill bay.

I signed up with Innovative Merchants through QuickBooks to help streamline this process. Through this service I would be able to invoice my clients through the Internet and allow the client to pay online via credit card, all of which would be linked to my billing software, QuickBooks.

What happened next was a nightmare. My first 2 charges came within days of establishing the account. Ther totalled roughly 19k between them. Innovative merchants refused to process these transactions. Even after establishing the account, they now insisted on looking at my previous 6 months bank statements. I sent them.

Then they wanted the invoices for the sales. I sent them.
Then they wanted the cardholders name, address, etc.. I sent them. Then they wanted to speak to the customers themselves. They did, but only after harrassing and embarrasing them over the transactions.

I now have annoyed and angry customers that feel we are some shady operation that even out own credit card processing company doesn't trust. As of 9/30/2008 we still do not have the money.

Because of the nature of our business, we get paid intermittantly. The withholding of our funds caused us hundreds of dollars in fees from our bank for insufficient funds and forced 4 bounced checks.

Stay away from this company!!
