SKS Associates and Northern Leasing Illegal Transaction/ Withdraw New York, New York

Short of it:
Same situation as two other people listed on this site. Letter arrives in mail on 3/3/11, dated for 2/17/11 (there was no date on the envelope it was sent in), stating that SKS "purchased all rights, title and interest in certain leases owned by Northern Leasing Systems, Inc.". And, on 3/2/11 (remember- the day before we even RECEIVED the letter) $195 would be deducted from the account associated with the CANCELLED account, to cover "certain taxes and related fees due to either not collected or under collected". We cancelled the account in September of 2010. Ironically, this is the exact same amount, the other people on this website had deducted from their accounts..... coincidence? Probably not.

Letter stated if we had any questions, call the client services department at 1-866-781-0440. Called, spoke to a rep who could provide no feasible answer for any of this, and surprisingly had NO MANAGER. Hmmm.....

So now what? This has to be illegal!
