Wow, It's kind of a relief to know that I'm not the only one who was scammed. Reading the other letters I couldn't believe how we had the same stories.

Back In April of 2002 I recieved a phone call about getting a credit card that would help us restore our credit. I told them I wasn't sure. I said to call back the next day after I had the chance to discuss this with my husband. Well he gave me the go-ahead. About a week later they finally called me back. I agreed. They didn't tell me exactly how much the card would cost. A few weeks later $174.90 was taken out of my checking account. So I figured in a few weeks I should get me new mastercard!! A couple of days later $99.00 was taken out of my account from Household protection. That was easy to get back. I would really know how these companies were just taking cash out of my account without any permission to do so.

June of 2002 I started getting worried about where my card was since I had already recieved the package. I called and I was given the runaround. They were filling out a lost or stolen card report and that would take a few more weeks. So of course I waited and still no card. That entire month I was calling, most of the time the number was busy. One of the times I actually talked to someone about speaking to a supervisior and this person told me there was no one else to talk to. I became outraged. She put me on hold for about ten minutes. When she came back I complained that I was calling long distance. This person told me "Mam this is a toll free number" Of course this wasn't I don't even know how much money I spent calling them. Then I was told I can't get my money back because it's been over 30 days. She told me to write a letter to the main office.
So I did. Of course again... no response. I think something should really be done about this. I would like to take them to small claims court but, what would be the point. They won't show and then what does that prove??? That I'm a sucker? Someone please help me and deal with this situation!!
