Pure and ugly fraud performed by American Family Pulishers

I will be lad to find at least some support. My elderly mother
approximately a year ago subscribed to the journal "Mutual Funds" through American Family Publishers. She paid for subscription and was happily receiving this piece of junk. Unfortunately, trying to be completely independent she did not inform me about this subscription, which I would definately stop because I am quite aware about this company reputation. Suddenly we received a notice that American Family Publishers arereporting us to a collection agency stating that she subscribed for the journal "Your Money, never paid for for subscription and that we received multiple notifications about ourdebt. Needless to say that we neither subscribed for this journal and did not receive any issues of it, nor we get any notification notices.

As I figured out they are clearly using her account number, which was istablished when she subscribed to "Mutual Funds". I consider it as a complete violation of the consumer rights and even as complete and pure fraud.

We will appreciate any help.
