I'm beening harassed by the company after they closed my account it was a secured account to start with. I could not make my monthly payments when I got sick last April of 2001. They closed the account last June of 2001 and used my security deposit to liquidate my debt and continue to bill me 25.00 per month since then and I have a new balance of 365.76.

I told them I was not going to pay it. They keep calling me. I hope you will help me.
the account number is 4121741351870030.

Annual Reports to shareholders

AUTHOR: Ed - Houston ()

According to Cap One's Annual Reports to shareholders, they should have "charged off" your account at 180-days past due. I would be interested in knowing more about your situation. I would like to know if Cap One is still reporting the fees they are assessing you as "earnings," even though the chance of recovering them is slight.

Are they assessing you overlimit fees, too? What was your balance when you stopped paying? Did you have credit protection (the $2 or $3 montly payment so that if you get sick or lose your job they pay the minimum payment each month)? Did you inform them you could not make payments?

Thanks
