Card Processing Center - Spiegel ripoff OLD BETH PAGE New York

I am also a victim of “Card Processing Center”. I had an account with Spiegel's for years and had excellent credit with them. I only had that one credit card and that was for credit purposes along with a car payment everything else was paid in cash! I'm extremely upset and frustrated. I also have been charged numerous late charges!

My Bill with Spiegel at the time of account transfer wasn't even $200.00, like I said I kept the card only for credit purposes and most of my shopping at Spiegel's was paid in cash and when I would have the bill down to about $75.00 dollars I would charge my next shopping items on my card.

I didn't get the first Invoice/Bill/statement from Card Processing until my bill was already two months late. When I saw my favorite Spiegel store closing for business in Naperville, Illinois an employee they're said she heard some company was going to be taking over the card portion of the company and she didn't have details.

I recall feeling panicked waiting for a bill to come through that never came knowing that my credit was going to suffer and without good credit you can't get anywhere or anything in the USA. I continued to complain to the customer service reps, I was told to write a letter! The first letter I wrote and sent they said they never received. Therefore the second letter I sent certified mail and guess what my responses were all AUTOMATICLY GENERATED FROM A COMPUTER, no signature & no sign of an actual person taking note of my problem.

I don't know what to do! I can't even recall the last month I received a statement from them but I guarantee you the late charges just keep building up month by month. And to top it all off I get so many call's I can't even believe it! REALLY I CAN'T! My home phone has caller ID. I have as of today 3/10/04 an amount of 54 calls that I finally started saving. Call #1 was on 2/17/04. In less then one-month 54 calls! They call after 9:00pm. And extremely early on Saturdays and Sundays waking you at ungodly hours, and after personally working a forty to fifty hour work week it would be nice to be able to sleep in occasionally!

I can't stand it anymore, I feel like there is nothing I can do! No one can save me from all of this harassment! Darn Spiegel's for going out of business.
