CareCredit GE Capital CONSCareCredit ripoff increased amount of interest charged Dayton Ohio

I am very upset after being "taken" by GE Capital CONS. I had agreed to dental work in the amount of $3,300 and have a signed agreement and sales slip that through "care" credit an interest charge in the amount of 4.75 would apply for 24 months.

I received the first statement in which everything looked great and I paid a large amount on the $3,300. The next month the statement came and suddenly the interest rate had changed to 12.9%, adding an extra $70.00 to the amount owed.

When I called "care" credit they were rude and unhelpful and said I would have to get the dentist or his staff to call and change the amount leading me to believe the dentist may stand to profit from somehow sending a false interest amount in. I have called the dentist office over and over and they keep saying they will call them and have not. I am not sure who to be upset with most. You would think if you have a signed agreement and sales receipt stating the interest rate should be 4.75 then they could change it back to that at "care" credit. All I know is I WILL NOT pay an extra amount every month for something I didn't agree on. It is hard to know what to do though to get this taken care of. I just wish I had investigated this site BEFORE signing up for this "plan" and would STRONGLY advise against "care" credit or GE Capital CONS.

Can anyone please tell me if the Dentist stands to profit somehow by using "care" credit?
