I wrote earlier about my bank not wishing to go after Continental Auto Rescue, well they are now, and I spoke to the RIP OFF company who played the recording, it was soooo bogus. It clearly stated it was taped in April, 2002, and that I had the right to cancel without any charge to my account within 7 days, which I did.
Now, they have changed their tune, called me back and asked if I wouldn't file against them they would send me a check within 30 days. I said 'NO WAY, you get my money back into my account today or at least by next week." But, the woman whom I called said she couldn't; nervously she asked if I would wait until her supervisor came. I said do what you need to I'm going to go ahead a file with my bank, the FTC, FBI and the Attorney Generals office to name a few. Well, perhaps this may be of interest in your worthy pursuit of these people I found on your website.

Continental used to be Hartford Auto Club, Inc. That was what I gathered for the recording I listened to said. The number that came up on my caller i.d. was from Ecommex Corp. Check out this website because they have been sued and another lawsuit is ongoing now. It clearly names these people. It also gives the File No. They are getting exactly what they deserve.
But, it doesn't mean it's over, they are still in business and until they all are out looking for new jobs we all need to be aware of their tactics.
