Credit One Bank Bad Credit Card Company City Of Industry California

I applied for this credit card and was approved more than 2 years ago. The fee's were very high to have the card but I needed a card to improve my credit. Since then my credit score has improved so they did serve their purpose but on 6/24/2009 I received enough money to pay off the credit card balance and paid it through my banks free bill pay service because I didn't want to pay the $4.95 fee to pay it through the "convenient" website of theirs.

It is now 7/20/2009 and my account still has not been credited the payment although it has been cashed from my bank account. I have the copy of the check and someone in their office had hand written someone else's account number on the check. I have called every working day since about a week after my bank mailed the payment. I have dealt with one rude representative after another! One even had the nerve to say "well ma'am, this is why we offer the convenience to pay online"!

They told me to fax a copy of the front and back of the cancelled check along with a letter from my bank stating that the money was taken out of my account. Even though the lady I had spoken with told me that she does see that my payment was credited to the account number that was written on my check. So now, I have spent the past 2 hours trying to fax over the proof and the fax number that they gave me is wrong!

I do not think that they are trying to help me, I think that they saw I was going to try to close my account and are making it as hard as they can.
