Be Warned about Credit One Bank!
I have been a customer with Credit One Bank for almost 3 years. Firstly, be cautious of any of these high interest Credit Card companies as the basically practice in legalized, and it should not be lega, loan sharking, usery.
I have a low credit limit with Credit One Bank...I have almost the same amount in fees applied to my account. All these fees are hidden, and add up. I have been Unemployed for several months, and continued to pay my minimum amounts through savings up and until 2 months ago. I apparentley was eligible for a program called Credit Protection. It is a service that I have been paying for these past three years, and covers my minimum payments. I applied to the program, and was denied as I missed the window from my original layoff date of 180 days. I requested that I be granted an exception, as I am still on UI insurance. They denied me.
I plan on suing Credit One Bank in small claims for fraudulent business practices.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this with Credit One Bank?
Sincerely,
Livid

- You had "Credit Protection", but failed to apply for it within 180 days of being unemployed so you were denied. Now because they won't make an exception for you, you want to sue them.
Do I have this about right? Well if so I will let you just think about this for a while as to how stupid you have just made yourself sound. Heck I don't even need to go into how even though you throw around terms like "loan sharking" and "usury" you still kept this card for almost 3 years.

The high interest rate you cite and the low credit limit is a dead give away you are a subprime borrower. You put yourself in that exact position. Any fees were clearly explained to you on the disclosure form as was the interest rate. Since you sound so surprised at the amounts, I'll bet you didn't even read what you agreed to!
No, I don't work for them.

Been a customer for 4 years, never had a problem with Credit One. I have great credit but I still use this card once a month to keep an active account in the credit bureaus.
You can't sue them because you let the time limit lapse how stupid is that?
