Debticated Consumer Counseling promised improved credit but instead destroyed it Germantown Maryland

We did some research and chose to go with this company who promised to help us "improve" our credit and to negotiate with our creditors to lower interest rates so we could pay off our credit card quickly. We were assured that there would be no negative effects on our credit.

We now are being prevented from purchasing a home due to the fact that this company took our first payment as a "donation" but sent nothing out to the credit cards. All of our credit cards have reported us as more than 30 days past due because they received no payment for 45 days. We have never been late on any of our accounts until this.

We have tried contacting the representative that we first dealt with, Steven Beck, who refuses to take our return our calls. We are now dealing with our creditors and trying to re-establish the payments that we were making prior to starting this program. We have since racked up over $1100.00 in late and over limit fees due to Debticated not sending a payment for the first month.

We were also assured that after our 6th consecutive on time payment, we would be eligible for a loan to pay off all accounts and establish positive credit reportings. I learned in November that only accounts with an interest rate of less than 12% would be eligible for a loan but we still had to apply and be approved for this loan.

At this time, only 2 of 7 credit cards have interest rates above 12%. We have tried contacting this company for a peaceful resolution but they refuse to cooperate. I just want my fees back plus the fees I have accrued as a result of this company misrepresenting their services!
Because of them, we cannot purchase a home, a car or even qualify to finance a set of furniture!!!
