Discover Card adds fraudulent charges to unsuspecting consumers credit cards. How can it be that this company is allowed to add these charges to my credit card without my permission, and when confronted with my dispute say they have a 'taped recording' of my acceptance?

Discover has been charging us $109 per month for their "Payment Protection Plan" which we never signed up for. They claim that we signed up in July 08 which is when we were in Europe, so I know we didn't sign up.

At our request, they did an "investigation" claiming they had a voice recording of us authorizing the enrollment. We asked to hear it and they said that they couldn't share with us. WTF... They can't even tell us if it was a male or female on the phone. What kind of business are you running, Discover? We would really like to discover who, if anyone, authorized this. We are out over $1,000 and I personally would really like to have that money back.

This is crazy. How can this be legal?
