Education Systems Promised 2 credit cards to restart credit $300.00 Champlain New York

On October 3, 2003, I received a call about re-establishing my credit. I would receive to credit cards with $1500.00 limits and 3.6% financing for the first 6 months. I could not pay the full $279.00 up front, so they said I could pay it in 2 installments of $149.95 each. I had $149.95 withdrawn on 10/2/03 and 10/16/03 from my checking account. I called several times to find out when I would receive my credit cards and I left messages.

I finally got through to someone after hanging up and kept calling back. They said the shipment got lost so I'd receive the cards in 1 week. I received a package on 12/19/03 that had a pamphlet about how to restore your credit, a flyer for a AT&T and Household bank credit card offers, and a flyer for Diredt TV satelite services. I couldn't believe I had paid $300.00 for this crap. I sent the package back on 12/23/03 certified mail (30 day Satisfaction Guarantee). I called on 1/7/04 to verify that they received my package and they had and I should have my refund in 15 business days.

I kept calling and finally got a hold of someone on 1/21/04 and the refund check went out on 1/20/04. As of (1/27/04) today I haven't received the refund, so I called again at 10:05AM (EST) and someone picked up and said it takes 31 business days to process a refund and my file hasn't been credited yet. I told her "I was told last Wednesday that it had went out on 1/20/04." she said that person was mistaken. If I had known about this scam I would have never done this!
Today I am going to go to my bank and try and find some information to get my money back from the ACH house. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
