I joined with the consolidation group last October, and since then, regardless of my sending them payments of $150 or more, the amount of debt reduced on my accounts went from $3,008 to $2,886. a total of $122. They were supposed to help re-age my accounts, lower interest rates, and be rid of late and overdraft fees.
Last April, they missed my payments to my accounts because of a banking error and therefore messed with my credit even worse. The credit cards require 3 months of on-time payments, and instead of reworking due-dates with the companies, they just paid after they got my money, so I was still accrueing the late charges and fees, and there is no likelihood that the credit cards will allow my accounts to re-age.
I have spent over $1,500 towards my credit debts, and I am only $122 to show for it. They have been chatging me $39 a month for their services and to top it off, they kept my first payment for themselves as a type os security deposit, since I am leaving their account early, they are going to keep the money and not return it to me. So much for trying to get my debt under control...
