    Corporate Advocacy Program
Fidelity Credit Services contacted me for a major unsecured visa or mastercard credit card offer with a 500 dollar limit. I was told that they offer this program to individuals with less than perfect credit as a rebuilding tool to get them back on track financially.

They said that I had 22 bank offers from well-known banking institutions, such as Wachovia Bank and Bank of America to name a few. They indicated that I could choose the bank and interest rate for this credit card, that there would be no annual or monthly fees, and that I would only be required to provide a one-time $129 debit from my checking or savings account. After they receive the money, they would then send me my credit card in the mail within 5-7 business days.

Well, this raised all kinds of red flags. First, if someone is going to give you an opportunity to rebuild your credit, they don't usually ask you for money up front and not even provide you with the disclosure statement of what you are getting yourself into. When I questioned the Fidelity Credit Services rep. about giving money up front and informed them that the first sign of a scam is to give money before you receive a product, they gave me a song a dance about how they are going to give me the $500 in full with the credit card and that giving them $129 first shows that I would be responsible enough to pay the $500 worth of credit purchases. They even told me that they would increase my credit to $5,000 in six months, as long as I have made on time payments. Now that was the killer.

I then turned the tables on them. Asking for creditable information from them before I gave them my banking information. They then hung up the phone on me. I called back and got another person who said they did not understand why I was hung up on and would send me information regarging the compamy. But then said that I would have to give them my information first. I then HUNG UP ON THEM.

Fidelity Credit Services failed to get my money because they could not convince me that they were a ligitimate company. Although these people continue to get monies from individuals, it is upsetting that companies like the better business bureau has not stepped in to stop it. Furthermore, the banking instutitions should take reponsibility not TO approve such ACH electronic withdrawals without the said permission of the client.

A lot of this could be deterred if the proper authorities would get involved to investigate these claims and work with the banking institutions to find a way to protect hard working individuals monies. PLEASE PUT A STOP TO THE MADNESS!!!!!!
