First Capital/Fleet Bank ripoff...credit card offer with only $199 fee, and $2000 limit with mastercard consumer fraud ripoff Phoenix Arizona

I recieved a phone call this evening around 5:45 pm June 17, 2002 asking if I was interested in a Mastercard with no monthly fees, no annual fee for lifetime, fixed 9.9% apr, with a $2000 credit line. I continued to listen to the gentleman named MICHEAL.

I asked if my husband could be on the card and he said no. About a half hour later he called me back to say that he was mistaken, my husband could be on the card, they could not

My husband said to go ahead and open the account. I gave them my checking account information, and recieved the phone call a half hour later as MICHEAL said I would by another representive of First Capital to make sure that I authorized the transaction. Matt called me back just before 7 p.m. Verified the information and said that the card would be mailed in 10-14 days that he had no additional information.

No one ever verified my social security number nor my birthdate. I just had a bad feeling about it. I started to look online for a website, and found this one that was listed, filed a report and placed a stop payment on the check, and called the customer service number that was given of 416-488-4664 and the pin# of 2828. I left a message asking for them to cancel the order.
