Liberty Benefits Package, LLC; Credit Card fruad

I received a yellow card in the mail in late August of 2001 about a special credit card offer of a guaranteed $4,000 credit line, 3 days/2 nights vacation package, free cell phone, and something about a catalog.

They said I would receive my package in the mail in four to six weeks, and upon arrival if I wasn't completely satisfied, I could get a full refund back.

Well, I didn't get my package in the 4-6 weeks like they said. They said there was a delay in the mail due to the terrorist threat that fell upon us on that tragic day of September 11, 2001.

Well, I just got the package in around the week of January 14-19, 2002; 4 months later, and there was no credit card! They sent me the package with the following: Vista catalog, something saying I was a Titanium Blue member with discounts on the catalog as well as Lawstar Legal plan, American Benefits Associaton regarding Medical and Rx, Kmart Amerikind Discount Rx Program, online credit report access at www.truecredit.com, Auto Loans Nationwide, Privacy Protection, and MIB reports, and a $500 fast cash loan where you have to give them more info about your checking account.

They did send one paper about " Your Guaranteed Approval* MasterCard Bank Card" form, but you have to mail another $18.95 for the "required processing fee of approval."

Now, I'm assuming that was for the credit card limit of $4,000, but I'm not for sure. They also sayed it had the lowest APR; 6%.

Now, is this a bogus company, or do they really give you the card? It looked like the catalog is only where you got that line of credit, and it sayed for $3,500.

I guess the other $500 was from the cash loan. Thanks in advance for all of your time...P.S. the customer telephone number they left on the catalog was 1-800-314-2688, 1-800-991-8241 and 1-800-314-2890, and the company you had to call that had the number listed on the yellow card was 1-800-279-9609.
