MERRICK BANK PLAINS COMMERCE DAMMAGE YOUR CREDIT REPORT DRAPER, Utah

This company just bought my credit card from Plains Commerce. When they did, they originally reduced may balance to the amount owed. By doing this it made my credit score get reduced from 725 to 701, because it affected the % of revolving. I called the company to complain about this and a month later they closed my account. Again reducing my credit score. Beware of this company they seem pretty shady based on my personal experence and what I have read.I feel that there was really no basis for their decision to close my account. I have never missed a payment, always paid more than the minimum payment and have paid the card off several times. They said they closed the account because of excessive inquiries. I had just bought a home and a new car, and had six inquiries. One would think that would be a lesser credit risk, knowing that I had ability, stability and history with the card.

I think it is a horrible knowing there is no law that credit card companies have to abide by when they can arbitrarily change their rates and terms and conditions by giving one a thirty day notice, only to find out that the thirty day notice went out a week prior to me finding out they closed the account.
