ive been paying into midwest savers for a year 600 dollars later. Ive never used their service not once the bill was sent to collections and midwest was still letting me pay them off noy using the debt collector.they gave the debt back after agreeing that i could pay them through their office. I have proof of that. I was then harrassed by 3 employees from their debt collectors which was unbelievable the things they were saying.especially since i havent used the service once why in the world would i want to pay them $2000. for a service they are not going to let me use after they are paid this is nuts. no one from either company can fight this one. the collection company was the worst they swore at me and the manager oh my god.
My fiancee had explained to her that he makes $11 an hr and has 3 kids can he make payments to pay off the debt. First she said no then said well how much can you afford to pay he said $75 a mo. she said that would not be sufficient and then said my suggestion to you is that you get your fiancee on birth control and quit knocking her up every time she turns around. this from a manager .another girl told me the reason i keep getting hung up on is that my voice is soo annoying(i was sick). i was also threatened that they would see to it i can never purchase a home. was told that by 2 different girls who work right next to each other. these acts violate the law and i can sue only problem cant afford the lawyer willing to take the case.
all of these conversations were recorded so ays aterling and king . what kind of companies use these practices they were also trying to dig up info about a home i was trying to purchase and said they would send letters to my title and escrow and mortg comp telling them not to give us a loan. they are not allowed to share your information. they also said they would add fees and charges on top of suing for the money and here we are trying to pay a debt for something we never used.

After reading this comlaint and your update, I am reminded of who you are. I spoke to you several times. I apologize for the conduct of Sterling and King, there is no reason for them to speak to you that way. Once you account went to collections, they are the only ones who can take payments from you unless it is the full amount. One of our employess mistakenly told you we could take payments. My suggestion is that you make whatever payments you can to Sterling and King, and try to stay off the phone with these people. They can't do anything as long as you're making payments. Your account is already in collections, it can't get any worse, the damage to your credit has been done. But once it is paid off it will get better.
Send whatever you can, as long as you're paying you're eliminating debt. I've had similar personal experiences with these agencies. Just pay whatever you can, and don't let them intimidate you. You still have your membership once you are paid off, and if you were looking to buy a home in the future, you will still be able to. They are just trying to scare the money out of you. But if you can report these people who harrased you, please do.
