Robinsons-May Company ripoff Fraudulent & Unethical Credit Collection Practices North Hollywood California

We live in a 14 unit apartment complex. My wife has enjoyed a Robinsons May credit account with AAA ratings. There is another tenant in our building who aparently does not enjoy good credit relationship with Robinsons May Company. Her name is Carol Romano. We have been contacted twice now by a unknown/unknown caller ID, that says, Hi! I'm so&so, do you know Carol Romano? Since I think very little of this tenant normally, I state who the hell is this and why are you calling me about this person? They state that they are collections for Robinsons May and they are trying to get any information that I will provide about her.

The first call resulted in a promise that they would NEVER, EVER call back. We stated how offensive it is to be contacted regarding collections, when we enjoy excellent credit standings - and it's not even about our credit. A folow up to Robinsons May concluded that they should *not* have done that. It won't happen again.

This morning was our second call. It interrupted breakfast and coffee. When I started grilling the caller about why they feel justified in calling total strangers and soliciting information about a deadbeat creditor? They stated that they were just "referencing the phone directory by address". Bull**it I said, you're called Robinsons May customers that are referenced by address. I stated I was recording the conversation for use by the State Attorney General and the SocalBBB, she said that they were fully justified in calling like this. I made it clear, in no uncertain terms, what I thought of that and what my actions against her personally and her company if she ever called here again.

We called and got a regional manager contact that we will be following up on. We're also planning on closing our Robinsons May account in protest of this unethical behaviour on their part. Now, I'm wordering if they are going to try the nasty tricks they used on the other gal who reported them here.
