Target-Retailers National Bank VICTIMIZED MANY CONSUMERS Minneapolis Minnesota

TARGET CREDIT DEPARTMENT IS A JOKE, AND RETAILERS NATIONAL BANK IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANY INFORMATION ON!!!!

I had a Target guest card in my name and my daughters name with no more than maybe $750 credit limit. I moved out of state, kept the card open for her sake for emergencies, and within 3 weeks she had a "VISA" card racked up to $7900 dollars!!

They automatically sent VISA cards out to their customers, and of course, a 19 year old girl with a credit card (in her name)who could use the card wherever she pleases, is going to take advantage of it. I was told by Target that there was no kind of offer sent out to receive the card, nothing to sign, they just sent them.

Needless to say, it's on BOTH our credit reports now. I had a "Target GUEST card" for a reason...very low credit limit.

When I talk to Target credit department, they don't care, they just insist on a payment over the phone.

I totally understand the fact that when you are a "joint" user, you are both held responsible, BUT, I NEVER requested the card and for some reason I believe that would be the same as an unsolicted card, which is illegal!!!

After not getting any response from Target, I am going to see a lawyer on Thursday.

I just wonder how many other trusting parents are out there and have been screwed by Target-Retailers National Bank deceptive practices????
