EQUIFAX THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY, VERY SCARY!! COLOSSAL ERRORS ON DISPUTE! Atlanta Georgia

I have had issues with Equifax over the last couple of years, and getting them straightened out is like pulling teeth.
1. Last year, they reinserted an old state tax lien satisfied in 1997, reporting it as FILED IN 10/2007, satisfied 7/97. They didn't understand what the problem was and it took help from the Recorder's Office to get this off.
2. They consistently report an old paid collection from 2002 as current payment status, 120+ days past due. In the comments, it plainly says Paid, zero balance.
3. I recently had a 30 day late that was really not my fault, and the creditor acknowledged that they had not changed my payment account for autopay as I had requested. They removed the late from all three CRAs. Good old Equifax reinserted this 30 day late two days after it was removed. I disputed this online yesterday after confirming that the creditor did not reinsert.
The end-all, be-all of their constant f*@k-ups came today when I did a pull on my CreditSecure and saw that these geniuses did not mark the account as disputed, but instead, MARKED EVERY SINGLE TRADELINE OTHER THAN THE ONE I AM DISPUTING AS "CONSUMER DISPUTES, REINVESTIGATION IN PROGRESS"...this includes my new auto loan that I haven't even made the first payment on, my recently PIF auto loan, both American Express cards, all of my other positive tradelines...every single thing other than the one I disputed. Now why in the hell would I want to dispute 22 positive tradelines??
I am spitting mad, and can't do a thing until Monday. Of course, if the usual situation occurs, I will be on hold forever, get some rube at a call center in India, who will refuse to transfer me to a supervisor or special handling in the USA.
If I end up losing some positive tradelines (already paid in full and closed), I am going to be beyond furious.
If any of you have had similar issues with these geniuses, I would appreciate any help, advice, contact info, whatever.
It is scary as hell to me that these incompetents have access to any of our financial information. I have them on lockdown (and have for almost a year) because of their incompetence.

Sherri,
Equifax is indeed a bunch of morons.
Trans Union and Experian both report similar information, and score similar. However Equifax is the lowest of my 3 scores, being 47 points lower than my high score!
Equifax still shows reporting on old closed accounts, which they cannot comprehend when disputed.
Your only option is to file a lawsuit against them under the FCRA provisions. That is the only thing they understand.
Make sure you send all disputes by certified mail, return reciept requested. Be sure you put the certified# on the letter itself to prove exactly what you sent.
NEVER do "online disputes". They like these as you have no proof of your dispute.
They CANNOT legally require you to only do online disputes.

Steve, there is a difference of 212 points between my Transunion (my highest) and Equifax. There is only a 44 point difference between Transunion and Experian, probably due to a couple of accounts only reporting on Transunion and a large number of inquiries on Experian recently because of an auto loan.
Another error on my Equifax is their calculation of my utilization. They have me almost negative $500 of available credit, even though I actually am just under 30% total utilization. Another "glitch" in their system, or calculations made by the underachievers hired by Equifax?
I am beyond frustrated with these people. And the last time I did call them, they had the nerve to ask me WHY I have had my Equifax report locked for over a year.

I am in the process of battling with Equifax as we speak! I just filed a complaint with the FTC that I know was a waste of time. I have something on my credit report for the last couple of years that is not mine and have been trying to get it removed. Well, as per FCRA guidelines, I sent Cavalry Portfolio and their collectors a certified letter asking for validation of the debt. According to the FRCA 15 U.S.C. Sec 168i(a), they have 30 days to provide me with validation or they must remove it from the credit report. What Cavalry's collection people sent me was validation for a completely different person. They sent me the retail contract AND credit application for somebody in Washington. They still refuse to remove it. So I have sent Equifax ALL the documents showing I requested the validation and provided Equifax with the incorrect documents that Cavalry sent me. As per the FCRA, it should be deleted. Well, 2 weeks later, I get an "updated" credit report from Equifax telling me the debt was remaining because it was VALIDATED!! HUH?! Did I miss something?! This debt MUST be removed because Cavalry used up their 30 days and didn't comply. And Equifax still refuses to remove it. So this $9,000 debt is still showing up on my credit report thanks to Equifax! This is outrageous!

They do not honor disputes. But they sure remember how to bill you every month for nothing in services really. EVERYTIME I have checked all three of my fico scores they are always LOWER in real life. I cancelled my account with any and all of the credit report rip off con artists. They are worthless.

Sheri you really need need to proof read before you post because you come across as a complete fool. What do you do for a living anyway? I would imagine that it can not be anything respectable. Just keep hiding behind your anonymous postings.

I battle the CRA's constantly trying to get an accurate report. In 2006 through 2008 I resubmitted the same documents from two different oiginal creditors to Equifax reflecting that the charge off accounts referenced on my CRA did not belong to me.
Equifax kept insisting they received information from the creditor that superceded my letters, but refused to tell me what that information was. The original creditors must have send 5 or 6 different pieces of correspondence confirming they instructed the CRA's to Delete.
I tried to sign up for Free Credit Report.com and was advised I could not get the 3 in 1 service because Equifax reported they have no record of any profile in my name. They gave me a phone number to call.
I called Equifax direct and they admitted they have lost my entire credit history profile and my social "does not exist". I sent them identifying documents (including my social security card) to prove I do exist, and they lost the documents.
Equifax refuses to provide a letter stating they have no record of my social and/or produce a report to determine if they ever made the requested corrections.
