Equifax Www.Equifax.Com/fcra Website Sucks! Set up to make it very difficult to dispute credit report errors. Atlanta, Georgia

After being denied credit on a car loan, I sent for my credit report from all three major agencies. Two were truthful, but not bad enough to be denied I thought. Then we got equifax report and my name was wrong, they had a address in a state I have never lived and a hugh collection for a utility bill in that state. In disputing I was kicked off of the website 3 times and would have to start all over again. The forms cannot be auto filled because of security over personal information. The first 2 times it happened when I clicked for details on the company reporting the negative info. The last time I was giving a statement that it was not me when I was kicked off for inactivity. So after 2 hours I still did not get anywhere, you call and are told to visit the website.

I got off work early and lost it messing with them. The website redirects you somewhere  you don't want to go when you think you going to a email page. Who started this credit reporting stuff and why do they have so much power. They have all the info they need to commit identity theft. Really the system is broke. I just am sick of it and didn't know where to complain. I know nothing will change but at least I feel better.
