They offer a free credit report. If you order it you are signing up for a service, it turns out. Suddenly you get charges on your credit card, every month. Hassle to cancel. You call their 800 number. They say they sent you emails that you never remember receiving (probably went into scam). You may get the next month charge reversed, but the past month is your loss, since they say they sent you something. None of it is transparent, up front, spelled out. Totally snakey.
