Budget & Credit Counseling Services ripoff, misleading, deceptive, dishonest New York New York

After being with the company for two years with all going well they lost our payment to them for the months of May and June 2003 and insisted we did not pay. We had proof of payment via recipts but it took four months to straighten out the problem by that time our creditors were down our throats.
Once the problem was solved we did not receive so much as an appology or reconition that they goofed up. Because of this our credit report has been damaged which is the exact opposit of what this company is supposed to do for us.
In January 2004 I went to their office to make a payment but the debit system was down. In February 2004 I called in advance to make sure the debit system was working, they assured me it was. When I got there it was not and if that was not enough I had a verbal altercation with the supervisor which again was not my fault but they again insist it was resulting in them droping us from the program. There is much more I would love to hear from an advocate.

After droping BUCCS I found another credit counseling company called Cambridge/Brighton Budget Planning Corporation. What Cambridge did that Buccs could not was ...
#1 they immediately got my percentage rate lowared, it took over a year for Buccs to do that and not only is it lowered it is lower then when we left BUCCS.
#2 They (Cambridge) offered lower payments, we are now paying $100 a month less to Cambridge then what we were paying BUCCS, so to say the least I feel BUCCS has riped us off for over $2400.
Last but not least Cambridge is always right there when you need them, no waiting on the phone listening to BUCCS commerscials, and if the counselor is not available you simply leave a voice mail and he/she calls you back, and I mean right back not the next day.
