Inlandfirst.com Aka Consumerdirect. Employer at Inland.first.com asks for credit report scores on application-gives this site for "free scores": not free, not real Internet

My husband responded to a too-good-to-be-true job through inlandfirst.com. Much too quickly, he received a reply stating that he was fully qualified but that he would have to fill out the application online in order to get a call back.

In the letter, there was a stated requirement that he supply his credit score from all three credit agencies. The letter suggesting using a particular link to get free credit reports. Suspending his disbelief, he clicked on the link that was provided that pulled up consumerdirect.com.

He chose the free trial period, with cancellation allowed within 5 days (not 30 days, if you read the fine print). All the site did is make up a fictional credit score from data provided by my husband (the applicant), without reference to any legitimate credit agencies.

The scam is that many people would not be able to cancel within the 5 day period, especially if they believe it to be 30 days. I will be cancelling it today (the same day he bought it) to avoid the full cost: $29+ per month. I hope that works. If not, you will be "hearing" from me!
