Credit Counseling Express ripoff I have lost more money than if I had stayed paying my creditors on my own. Boca Raton Florida

I signed on with Credit Counseling Express in April of 2003. Since that time I have lost more money than if I had stayed paying my creditors on my own. They took a 489.00 fee, which I was told it would be my first payment. Never paid the creditors and had to come up with a lump sum immediatley or I it would be reported to my credit reporting agency.

Then in October of 2003, I found out that I was still at 19.75% with one of my creditors when I should have been at 7%!! I had been paying a 19.00 processing fee also. I figured that I had lost 1,200.00 with them.

I argued with supervisors, that told bold faced lies! They refused to compensate me for their error. Then in January of 2004, they took the money from my checking account and never paid the creditor! I finally staightened it out, but now I have noticed that the last 2 months (May and June) my same creditors have not been paid. This time they never widrew the funds. I happened to go on line to get their number when I stumbled across an order from the State of California's Business, Transportation and Housing Agency, ordering them to Desist and Refrain from taking anymore money from consumers due to them being in violation!!! They never had a license!

I had filed a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureua) in March.2004 on everything. I never received anything from this company about them being shut down! They could of at least had the decency to let me know that I needed to make my own payments! I didn't withraw from this company because I would have lost more money. They keep a 489.00 fee, which they claim is your last payment. HOw can I get my money back!!
