For $1, Experian offers to give you your Credit Score... not a report.  Fine.  It was a promotional deal.  Nothing mentioned about an on-going membership.  When the charge of $19.95 showed up on our bank statement, we tried to reach Experian.  We do not want to pay for an on-going credit anything.  Nor did we have any option or notice that Experian would be doing this.  After 1//2 an hour on the phone going around and around trying to get to a person to answer, no luck.  I sent an email, asking for the charge to be removed.  I got an automatic response, which stated Experian would deal with my request in due time.  Nothing.  We contacted our bank to dispute the charge.  They told us we had to get a hold of Experian, or at least try again.  I finally discovered their corporate number on their website; a real operator put me through to their "comsumer direct" department.  I was told that there was NO WAY Experian would refund my money.  They claimed that I had a chance to cancel my "membership" within 9 days.  What membership?  This is a scam.  They deliberately hide the details, give no direct numbers, disguise their intent, which is to get your credit card number and hope to God you don't notice the charge... which I now find out is a recurring charge, where they intended to charge $19.95 per month for eternity.  What horrific and cynical thing is this?!!  We are refusing this charge through our bank.  We have now had to tear up our card, wait for another one to be sent to us (10 days) in order to keep these theives from taking more.  They deserve to be put out of business... in perpetuity!!
