I received mail from Fidelity Credit some time back, after applying for credit cards online. I only went with big names, but somehow Fidelity Credit got my information and sent me an APPROVED piece of mail. First off, I thought "that's a lot of money they want" and "I never applied to them in the first place"; so obviously, I thought "SCAM!!!".

Well, I ignored it, but then I started getting calls from Fidelity Credit. They actually never tried talking to me, they'd just never leave voice mails and would hang up every time I picked up, and their line would be busy when I called back. I google'd the number they called me from (727-585-4762), and got a number I can reach people at (727-596-8705). This took a few tries because they don't have a way for you to stay on the line until someone can help you, so you have to call back if you don't get through. But eventually I got someone, and they tried to squeeze more information out of me then. WARNING, DON'T GIVE THEM ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. If they don't already have it, then good. I just gave them the phone number they were call me at, and told them not to call back.

On another note, what this company does is criminal. From what I've read, they tell people they've been approved, then you pay, and all they do is send you mail on how to improve you credit rating. I hope someone out there has the ambition to make them pay. I'm glad I didn't fall for their scam, but I realize that they're doing this because obviously it's profitable (meaning people are getting ripped off). Most important, I hope anyone that's been screwed over by them claims what they have lost, and then some.

I also got more information from the Better Business Bureau...
