As with most people who end up in collections I fell upon hard times and my FCNB Mastercard account was sent to collection. I made small payments but was unable to catch up because of late fees and over the limit fees.

We took a loan to pay off some bills and I called to settle the account with them. NCO agreed to a settlement of $870. to be received by August 20th 2003. They gave me the address where payment should be mailed.

On Ausust 19th ( when funds became available) I overnighted a payment to them. When I checked for delivery via fedex web site the delivery info stated the zip code was wrong. When I called fedex they said the zip code I had was for their lockbox and not the physical address, however they located this information and delivery would be scheduled for August 21st.

I called NCO and informed them of this. The fact that the zip code was for their lockbox confimred that this was the address given by the employee. (this lockbox info was not on any other correcpondence received from them.)

Since delivery I still receive past past due notices from NCO with late fees. I have contacted them numerous times, spoken to a department supervisor only to be told on my next call that he no longer works for the comppany.

Every time I call I am told something different. "It takes 30 days to be refelected on your account". I call back in thirty days, I am then told it takes 30-90 days. I call back. I am told it takes 90 days from the date the supervisor updates the account. So on my last call I was told it would be updated effective December 2nd 2003.

What do I receive in the mail with a statement date of December 26th 2003? Another bill with another late fee and interest charges.

I will not give up. Nco staff are unprofessional and seem to make up rules as they go along.

By the way, the other accounts that I paid reflected payment and cleared my accounts immediately. Theses rules only seem to apply to NCO FInancial.
