Santander/ARS Recovery false reposession order Internet

On Jan 25th 2012 I called Santander and set up a payment. Yes I was late but I was told that the vehicle was not in reposession status and by setting up the payment there would be no problems. Fast forward to tonight the 30th, ,repo agent shows up and hooks up to my car. I confronted him with the email from santander confirming the payment. He called the office, while he did that I called santander and got a mgr on the phone. He stated to me that someone from santander had gone ahead and initiated a repo order but also closed it out the same day I made the payment. The problem is when the order was given it was forwarded to ARS which in turn passed it on to a 3rd company. The 3rd company agent was the guy I had the pleasure of dealing with tonight. To his credit he stayed around for 40 minutes talking to his boss and talking to the mgr of santander.  Bottom line is that santander sent the order to ARS who turned it over to the last guy who actually got the car, santander had the repo order closed out but ARS never did so the owner of the 3rd co pulled the dick move of saying to santander "I don't have a repo order through you and it still shows open through ARS so I have to take the car" What ever happened to just doing what is right? I understand he owns a co to make money and this was just a sucker way for him to get a $350 charge. I know tons of people have had big problems with santander and besides them calling continuously once your 1 day late I really have had no problem with them, I mean they did their part. My problem is with ARS and the owner of the 3rd company involved. Kudos to the driver who came out though, he was polite, professional and did everything he could to help me out.
