Here's my situation , I had opened up a credit card account in early 2000, After having it for about six months it was sold the the Nasty scammer's of Providian Financial . They shot up my interest rate , and month after month posted late fee's and over limit fees in which I made my payments always early to avoid these fee's . But they scammed me as a Hard working man ! Now its 2004 , I hear this opportunity at United Debt Solutions on TV . I call them , they say - Oh we can help you resove your credit situation with Providian Financial , We will set up a payment plan , and will reduce you debt to them . So , I pay them $600 for this service . After a Year , NOTHING was done what so ever . I had to threat , write to the state of Florida three times , and I finnally received my $600.00 dollars back . My complaint Now is that I'm being Harrassed by Providian Financial , they are threating me by taking legal actions to sue me . After Nothing was done at United Debt solutions and signing over my accounts to them . They have compiled more and more charges on my account , it so out of my hands now . So , I'm getting with my attorney this week , and taking all my written documents over for him to examine. United Debt Solutions has Failed , they have cause me more problems . If Providian Financial sues me , I'm filing a law suit upon United Debt Soultions . Anyone who wants to file a class action law suit with me , please get a hold of me .

I'm going to sue guy

Sorry you were a victim

AUTHOR: Don - Fortville (U.S.A.)

I am sorry that you became a victim of this company. It's terrible how they have gotten away with what they do for so long, huh? I want to make sure you understand some things however. Providian most likely was able to shoot up your interest rate due to contractual agreement made by you. Often times they add a loop hole which allows them to up your interest rate if you are ever late on a payment. Late payments often result in late payment fees, and if you are already at your limit this can push you over also resulting in over limit fees. I hope that you do look to sue this company, because they are definately due, however this will not release you from your responsibility with Providian. Make sure you understand that. You have a contract with Providian and just because a company scammed you into believing they were going to take care of it does not release you from that contract. My advice for you... Save up about 35-50% of the current total on this account and contact them, only once you have the money immediately available, and request a settlement yourself. I wish more consumers realized that what these companies do can be done by them by cutting out the middle man. Settlement should never be requested however unless you are currently in collections. There is no easy way out of paying a current debt without it significantly affecting your credit.

Good Luck
