Today, January 24, 2009, I received a letter which stated I was one of the declard winners of the SHOPPERS SWEEPSTAKES held on NOVEMBER 5th, 2008 in the 2nd category. Ticket serial NO 387450146 drew the lucky winning NO 38-44-66-79-91.

They stated that they had made many unsuccessful attempts to contact me regarding my winning. The sum of $250, 000 I was entitled to. That there were 20 declared winner, and that all the participants were selected through a random computer ballot system drawn from over 50,000 names.

They enclosed a check for $4890.00 which had been deducted from my winning and the sole purpose of this check is for the payment of applicable Government Taxes on my big winnings.

The tax amount is $2890.00 and was to be paid by a MONEYGRAM.

They ask that the check not to be cashed until I contacted Barbara Jones. Well, guess what, I am smarter than Applegate securities. I went to my computer and researched the SHOPPERS SWEEPSTAKES and there are other people who received the same letter as I did, and the check is a scam. This Barabara Jones, wants you to deposit the check in your checking account and then send a moneygram for $2985.00. Not going to Happen, No Money from this Lady. Barbara Jones, if this is your real name, you sure be ashame of yourself. O, that's right, you have no shame.
