Perfomance Seals Inc Lottery Scam PLEASE BEWARE Toronto, Ontario

I too have received this letter stating that I have won215,000.00 that was shared among 20 declared winners.  This was done by random computer ballot system. I too was sent a check for 4850.00 to be used to pay the taxes on the supposed winnings, which I was supposed to pay 2850.00 tax amount via western union, and directly to my assigned tax agent. It was signed by Mikail Swaltz. Now, here is the kicker, in the letter it states: Please do not attempt to use this check until you call and speak with the claim agent Mr. Ken Hanson at 1-647-833-1810 for further clarification and instructions on claiming your winnings. I personally have not tried to call this number because I know it is bogus, but others may not because of the previous statement and the check is from Bank of America, NA in Atlanta, GA Dekalb County. Also, on my check, it lists Performance Seals, INC. 4540 So. Pinemont Dr. Ste 122 Houston, TX 77041. This is a bonafide company that sells Seals, and I don't think they know they are being used for this scam and I do plan to contact them as well as my local media to get the word out.

Please beware of this scam, they try to make it sound legit by saying not to do anything with the check, but trust and believe, if you did not enter a contest, you did not win anything, and if you had truly won something, the proper procedure would be to report the winnings when you file taxes and either pay the taxes then or any legit company would give you the option to have the taxes taken out of your winnings without you sending them a dime or them sending you a bogus check to pay to a phony tax agent. Trust me, the IRS does not work that way.
