Safeway Financial Services unfortunate potential rippoff Lottery Scam, Toronto Ontario Canada

i received a sweepstakes lottery-winning check in the amount of $4850.00 with instructions to call this phone #.they told me to deposit check into my bank and call them to get the name of the tax agent i was to send the government taxes($2850.00) to.i would then receive the balance of my winnings(146,000 approx) fedex and would need proper id to receive it.this sounds too good to br true.i was skeptical of the money they asked for on the taxes to be sent to someone. I had heard about this on one of our local radio talk shows on 1080 FM about sending money to someone you don't know (taxes are normally taken from the winnings directly) and depositing a check that could bounce obligating you to pay the charges.I did not deposit the check and plan on turining in the check to the police.
