Star Capital Securities INC SWEEPSTAKES SCAM Lutz Florida

I received a check in the mail from Star Capital Securities Inc. The check was for $4,875.00. It looks like a real check. The bank listed on the check is Bay Cities Bank in Tampa Fl. The address for Star Capital Securities was in Lutz, Fl. However, the envelope it came in was plain white and was postmarked from Canada.

The notification stated I was one of the 40 winners in the 2nd category in the American Shoppers Sweepstakes held on May 5th, 2008. I was to call the phone # on the notice, and I could deposit the check immediately. I called the # and a man told me to deposit the check and then call him back and he would give me the address of where to send my check to cover the taxes that will be owed to the government in the amount of $2,975.00

After mailing the check, I would receive the remaining $120,125.00 of my winnings via FedEx.

I saw this very same scam on this website, only they are using a different bank to draw from. I have emailed Bay Cities Bank to see if they write me back. I think this could deceive a lot of people and needs to be stopped immediately. I have saved this check and notice in case the authorities can use any of it.
