I received a letter from this company this afternoon stating I had won a consumer lottery, the total amount I had supposedly won was $39,000, and it included a check for $3,900 and instructed me to call either of two representatives.

The number listed is 905-598-6708 and the agents names were listed as Nicole Jordan or Larry Johnson. I called the number and spoke with "Nicole" who spoke with what I now feel is a faked accent since reading the other posts on this site. I was instructed to deposit the check into my bank account and then call back for further instructions after doing so.

"Nicole" said I would receive my remaining award amount via UPS. After making the deposit, I called her back and she asked if the funds were available to me and of course they were not. She then informed me that it should only take 24 hours for it to clear and to call them back after noon on Monday, January 26, 2009.

This is obviously a scam to gain access to people's bank accounts.

The check was labeled as if it were a Cashier's Check. Be Wary!! I was skeptical yet I went along for the ride until I googled the company, and voila!

Tell it like it is
