SurveyPro, Potential Bank Fraud New York New York

After receiving communication from SurveyPro Inc., inclusive of a check in the amount of $4,990, I researched some information online and found a similar submission on the Ripoff Report from "David". He reported receiving the same letter with the same instructions (send a MoneyGram to 'a relative of yours' MEGAN (YOUR LAST NAME) in Montreal in the amount of $4,440 plus a $150 wire fee, make a $100 purchase at Home Depot, GAP, JC Penny, Wal-mart, K-Mart or Sears; keep $300 as 'probation training pay'.

Upon researching the name and address of the company on which the check is drawn I discovered that it is a legitimate business at that location and researched it's history (including is New York Stock Exchange history!). Like David's check which was drawn on an account at Sunbridge of Albuquerque (which doesn't exist, I know, because I live in Albuquerque), the check enclosed with my letter is drawn on 'Fleet Bank of Massachusetts', 800 Blyston Street, Boston which is actually Fleet Bank of Boston, 800 Boylston Street, Boston (which I know because I used to live in Boston and worked for them!).

I have contacted the company whose legitimate name and address appear on the check and reported this information to their legal department. Beware of these paid survey scams because ultimately it is the innocent consumer who ends up paying out of their own pocket for the wire transfers and purchases!
