I bought a DVD set from TVBoxset.com after checking out several online DVD set companies. They all had the same web site but with a different company name. I decided to order a box set because of the 30 day money 100% money back guarantee in July of 07. I got a confirmation email with the Canadian Post tracking number within a day or so and thought nothing of it. I checked the tracking number daily, but there was no update. I tried the online tech support from their web site and there was no response. I also tried to call their phone number and left several messages, which I never got a reply from. I called the Canadian Post to see if they could tell me what was wrong and they said that they only got a notice that something was going to be shipped, but it had never been received by the Canadian Post for shipment. After weeks of no response and no package, I called my Visa card and cancelled the payment. I felt fine and went about my life thinking everything was OK. Within days of canceling the payment, I received an email from the Canadian Post with tracking details for a shipment and sure as poop stinks, I received the box set in about a week. It was sent Xpresspost and did not require a signature so it was here when I got home from work, so I was never given the opportunity to refuse the shipment. I tried to play the DVD's and they were crap. Lousy picture quality and many didn't play at all. I tried their online tech support several times again with no luck. I called and left several voice messages on their answering machine with no response, ever.

Then it happened. I got a letter in the mail from my Visa card stating the company was rebutting my dispute for the purchase! I sent a letter with all the documented calls and tech support requests and stated that they have a 30 day 100% money back guarantee and that I wanted to return the product. Well, I just got my Visa statement today, and they charged me for the purchase anyway. According to Visa, I have to return the product to them, and they have to accept it, in order for me to get a refund. I told them that there is no address for this company and that their own return policy is to call for an RMA number and address to return the items, but because they wouldn't return any calls, there was no way for me to return the item. And now the website is gone and the SXR.ca site is currently being dismantled, so there is nothing that can be done. Cheers for the fraud protection offered by Visa. I've canceled my credit card and will refuse to use Visa for anything in the future.
