I placed a want ad on craigslist for a Doberman puppy. A Mr. Lane contacted me about an adoption from his kennel. We corresponded via email over the next few days. I was sent photos of the puppy as well as copies of health certificate and a copy of their kennel accreditation scheme.

I asked all the right questions regarding the puppy as well as the shipping or so I thought. Once I agreed to adopt I was told they would book the flight for the shipping of the puppy and I would pay the airline directly. After hearing this I felt secure about my decision to adopt. However, I soon did hear from the airline or so called airline I received 43 emails from Cameroon Airline cameroonairlines0@rocketmail.com. The emails look unprofessional but did state the flight numbers and other flight information. Then as I read on it stated” We accept Online payments via VISA,and MASTER credit cards but this service is not available right now.Due to Hackers who hacked into our website and acquired clients credit card details as a result of the absence of our online web design technician who was on a sick leave. As a result of this We now recommend that the payment is to be done to Air Animal's developed 3rd party pet delivery service to the to the address as stated Below so as soon as the payment is made the puppy will be on the flight Mon 11/05/2009 to your location

That's when I knew something wasn't right and decided to do more research about this adoption. I just wanted to make sure this way not a scam but it has all the markings of a scam. I saved all email conversations or information sent by both Mr. Lane and myself.

Can anyone tell me for positive that this is or is not a scam? because if it is not a scam there is a puppy at the airport waiting to be shipped.
